Job Title: VICE CHANCELLOR
Job Context:
The Board of Trustees (BOT) of German University Bangladesh (GUB) is looking for a competent Vice-Chancellor. The Vice-Chancellor will perform his/her duties adhering to the Private University Act 2010, the Statute, the rules and regulations and the policy-guidelines of the University. S/he will be responsible to report to the BOT. Founded in 2013, GUB has emerged as one of the most reputable universities in the region. GUB follows modernized higher education concepts following International Standards and is committed to innovative teaching and research. It has an affiliation with, Initiative German University Bangladesh (IGUB) comprised of eminent scholars, academics, scientists and administrators from Germany. It also has academic and research collaboration agreements with leading universities.
Job Description/Responsibility:
S/he will be the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of GUB. S/he will be responsible to the Syndicate and BOT for mentation of their decisions.
Educational Requirements:
The eligible candidate for the position will be a Professor with a first class Bachelors and Master’s Degree or a PhD from an internationally recognized university with excellent academic and administrative attainments.
Experience Requirements: At Least 20 years
Job Requirements :
• S/he should have a minimum 20 years of academic, research and administrative experience, including a minimum 10 years of teaching experience as a Professor in recognized universities.
• Experience as Vice Chancellor/ Pro-Vice Chancellor or equivalent will be an advantage.
Job Location: Gazipur.
