For last three decades industrialization in Bangladesh has got a momentum. Fierce competition, access to global market, impact of globalization has increased the necessity of skilled manpower. Further, development of legal framework and social compliance accelerated the demand of skilled professionals of employment/Industrial relations. Additionally, many people work in HR and IR profession without having the proper knowledge base of Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations. Considering all the factors many academic institutes have introduced Masters in HRM.

Masters in Human Resource Management is relatively a new offering in Bangladesh.
For decades HR Education or qualification have been dominated by Post Graduate Diploma in personnel Management (PGDPM)/ Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Bangladesh Institute of Management.

BIGM (Bangladesh Institute of Governance and Management) former Civil Service College introduced Master in Human Resource Management under their MPA Program.

Later University of Dhaka Introduced Master in Professional Human Resource Management.

United International University Introduced Master in International Human Resource Management.

Department of Public Administration of Jahangir Nagar University started Master in Human Resource Development and Industrial Relations.

Institute of Social Welfare and Research initiated Master of Industrial Relations Labour Studies

At present  Admission offer from United Internation University is active.

Department of Public Administration, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka-1342 is inviting application for Master in Human Resource Development and Industrial Relations (MHRDIR). It is a weekend program. 

 Jahangirnagar University is one of them. Their Admission Notice for Summer Semester, 2021 for Master in Human Resource Development and Industrial Relations (MHRDIR- Weekend Program) has been announced.
