The University of Rajshahi is a public university of Bangaldesh. Rajshahi University is situated in Motihar, Rajshahi. The university was established in July 6, 1953. The university's 60 departments are organised into ten faculties.

Only students who have passed other equivalent examinations (subject to approval by the HSC Equivalent Determination Committee) can apply for the admission test. Students who have passed the traditional method and from an open university will not be able to apply. Only students with BFA (Pre) degree will be eligible to apply as their results are still in the traditional way, but they must have a mark sheet / certificate. Students passed Diploma-in-Engineering from Technical Educational Institutions under the Department of Technical and Madrasa Education can also apply to the concerned unit but their GPA will be determined on a scale of 5.00.

• Applicants who have passed the Humanities will have to get a GPA of 6.00 with a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC / Equivalent and HSC / Equivalent examinations (including 4th subject).

• Applicants who have passed the Commerce will have to get a GPA of 6.50 with a minimum GPA of 3.50 in both SSC / Equivalent and HSC / Equivalent examinations (including 4th subject). |

• Applicants who have passed from Science will have to get a GPA of 6.00 with GPA 3.50 minimum in both SSC / Equivalent and HSC / Equivalent examinations (including 4th subject) 

• Passed 5 subjects in GCE O level examination and at least 2 subjects in A level examination and get at least B grade in 4 subjects out of 6 subjects and at least C grade in 3 subjects in both the levels. Applicants who have passed O Level, A Level and English Version (National Curriculum) will have their questions translated into English if applicable.
