Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX) is a public engineering university of Bangladesh. The university was established on 22 December, 1921. It is one of the top engineering universities in Bangladesh. The institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Dhaka. It has seven affiliated college, each of which are textile based institutes of technology.

Admission qualification:
• The applicant must be Bangladeshi by birth or in acquiring citizenship
• Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 in grading system from any Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Education Board / Technical Education Board in Bangladesh and pass Secondary School Certificate / Entry / Equivalent Examination or at least equivalent examination from Foreign Education Board.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 5.00 on a scale of 5.00 with a minimum grade point of 4.00 in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English separately and a maximum of at least 19.00 grade points in HSC or equivalent examination in Science in 2022 from Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board / Madrasa Education Board / Technical Education Board.
