Professors may apply from Lecturers and Assistant Professors holding PhD degrees
No application is allowed till the completion of any project currently under way funded by the University Grants Commission
The same project proposal cannot be submitted in more than one category
Must follow all conditions and instructions imposed by the Commission regarding expenditure of research grants and various activities related to project implementation

Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is inviting report writing from the candidates Research Program.

Qualification for applying:
• The applicant / applicant organization must be Bangladeshi. A copy of the applicant's National Identity Card / Passport / Birth Registration Certificate must be submitted with the application
• the applicant / institution must conduct research in Bangladesh
• Applicant (Chief Researcher) must be a Physician / Public Health Specialist. In case of organization, the organization has to be registered by the concerned authority
• Officers working in government, private or autonomous health / research / medical education institutions can apply
• The applicant has to give an undertaking to the effect that he / she has not received any financial assistance from any other government, private, autonomous or any other organization in the country or abroad for the said study
• Age limit: Maximum 65 years (at the time of application)

1. Bloodstream infections due to selected antimicrobial-resistant organisms (methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Escherichia coli resistant to 3rd-generation cephalosporin (e.g., ESBL- E. coli, CRE etc)
2. AMR in Bangladesh
- WHO listed important resistant pathogens (Eseherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannil, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae Salmonella spp. and Shigella spp)
- Invasive fungal bloodstream infections (BSis) caused by Candida species (spp.)
- Neisseria gonorrhoeae d. Vibrio cholerae
3. Hospital acquired infection (HAI) and its impact on AMR
4. Antimicrobial stewardship in containing AMR
