Description of the Program:

The M.S. in Data Science and Analytics is a program under the department of Mathematical & Physical Sciences. Eligibility of Admission:

•    Applicants are required to have a four-year undergraduate degree in Statistics/Science/ Engineering /Medicine /Economics/Agriculture /Business & Social science with good background of Mathematics, or a three-year undergraduate degree and one-year master's degree in any of the above mentioned subjects with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4; and
•    Candidates must have a minimum GPA of 3 out of 5 in both SSC and HSC examinations or passed University of London and Cambridge GCE 'O' level in at least five subjects and 'A' level in at least two subjects.
•    Only the best five subjects in 'O' level and best 2 subjects in 'A' level will be considered. Out of these seven subjects, a candidate must have at least 4B's or GPA of 4.00 in the four subjects and 3C's or GPA of 3.5 in the remaining 3 subjects. (in the scale of A=5, B=4,C=3, D=2 and E=1)

Program Structure:

This is a 36-credit and 1 year program for regular students. Students are needed to complete 24 credits as core courses and the rest of the credits from elective courses. Core courses provide the understanding of the basis of all statistical inference and modeling for data science. The elective courses cover the broad areas of data science & analytics including sciences, engineering, economics and business.

Admission Form:

Online admission forms are available on the EWU Website . Applicants can filling the admission forms online by paying Tk. 1,200 using online payment facilities (Additional Taka 15 will be charged as online processing fee). Help desk is also available for filling up the online admission form and payment as well at EWU Admission Office, A/2 Jahurul Islam Avenue, Jahurul Islam City, Aftabnagar, Dhaka 1212.

A set of sample question will be provided after the payment for admission form. The fee of the admission form for the Foreign Students is $16.00, payable in International Money Order in favor of EWU.

Admission form must be filled in properly. Signature of the applicant and his/her parent/guardian will be taken during admission (if qualified).Attested copies of Marks Certificates/Transcripts, Certificates, Testimonials of SSC & HSC or "O" & "A" levels and bachelor's degree will be taken during admission (if qualified).
