Institute of Business Administration (IBA) University of Dhaka is inviting application for training course on  

"Finance for Non-Finance Managers (FNM)"

It is a Six-Week Course by IBA, University of Dhaka. 

BACKGROUND 

As part of its continuous commitment to enhance management efficiency in changing economic and business dynamics, the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka is offering a Six-Week certificate course - 'Finance For Non-Finance Managers (FNM)'. The course has been designed for all who have no or little finance literacy but who nonetheless need to understand finance practices, to interpret financial information and to take financial decisions. 

OVERVIEW 

No one in business will succeed if s/he is not financialy literate; and no business will succeed without financially literate people. This course is a perfect one for the following two groups: i) non-finance professionals at all levels who need to develop an understanding of business finance; and, ii) all managers within a business, company, partnership or charitable organization should have an understanding of finance in order to contribute to their organization's success. In general, the course seeks to enable participants to explain and apply the basic principles, tools, and techniques of the finance. 

COURSE SCHEDULE 

A total of 12 classes will be held online in six weeks on Fridays and Saturdays only from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. The last date for submission of application is Thursday, February, 18, 2021. Classes will start from Friday, March 05, 2021. 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

Applicants should fulfill the following criteria: 

• Bachelor's degree in any discipline; and, 

• Minimum 2 (two) years of work experience with reputed organization/s (work experience can be relaxed for exceptional candidates).

ADMISSION PROCEDURE 

Eligible candidates will be called to appear before an online interview board for final selection. Applications will be reviewed on 'First Apply First Call Basis'.  

CERTIFICATION 

On successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded a certificate for the course issued by IBA, University of Dhaka. 

KEY RESOURCE PERSONS 

The resource persons for the program comprise faculty members from IBA, University of Dhaka and other reputed business schools of Bangladesh. Leading finance professionals from the industry will also conduct business sessions.
